The wine

Greuli, Vermentino di Gallura D.O.C.G. Superiore

Greuli, Vermentino di Gallura D.O.C.G. Superiore, is produced from a vineyard in Cala Sarraina, where the vines are trained on espaliers using the Guyot method. The vineyard is planted exclusively with Vermentino di Gallura and is tended to offer connoisseurs a wine that is both dry and delicate in flavour.

Following careful selection in the vineyard and in the cellar, the grapes undergo gentle pressing at a controlled temperature.

Static settling, fermentation with selected yeasts, a brief maceration on the skins in stainless steel tanks, and further ageing in the bottle make our wine special, as it is born of a love for the land – a love that offers the palate a fresh and fragrant flavour, to be savoured at various times of the day.

Ideal for accompanying the various specialities of Mediterranean cuisine, Greuli pairs beautifully with appetisers featuring rich, enveloping flavours, seafood-based first courses such as fregola with seafood or spaghetti allo scoglio, as well as with fish main courses and fried dishes, or alongside roasted white meats, cured meats and cheeses.

WINEMAKING

Following careful selection in the vineyard and in the cellar, gentle pressing is carried out at a controlled temperature. Static settling and fermentation with selected yeasts take place in stainless steel tanks.

AGEING

In stainless steel tanks, followed by further ageing in the bottle for approximately 3 months.

ORGANOLEPTIC CHARACTERISTICS

COLOUR Bright straw yellow.

NOSE The nose reveals aromas of white-fleshed fruit, with subtle citrus notes and distinct hints of jasmine flowers and aromatic herbs.

TASTE The long finish, with its broad mineral character, rounds off the bouquet. Fresh, fragrant and savoury.

STORAGE

Store at a constant temperature of 16 °C, with the bottle laid horizontally.

SERVING

A glass with a wide rim and good depth, served at 10–12 °C.

FOOD PAIRINGS

Suitable for accompanying Mediterranean specialities, it pairs perfectly with starters, seafood first courses, fish main courses and fried dishes, and can also be served with roasted white meats.
